THE BEAUTY OF DESTRUCTION AND REBIRTH
Experimenting with traditional ceramic casting, this series of sculptural vases explores the fascinating aesthetics of destruction and rebirth. These unique vessels capture the fragile balance between endings and new beginnings, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
The interplay of irregular, rough surfaces, sharp edges and striking corners gives the vessels their characteristic raw beauty. Each piece bears the marks of violence and chance - shapes and textures created by the deliberate destruction of solid plaster moulds. Using a variety of tools, each surface is individually crafted so that each vase is an unmistakable, sculptural one-of-a-kind.
The vases are produced using a modular system in which individual elements are stacked on top of each other. This enables the creation of vessels whose compositions are as abundant as the stars in the sky.

Every FRAGMENTS Vase is one-of-a-kind
It is crafted from a unique combination of mould pieces and is produced only once and never again. Each vase is marked on the bottom with its own individual composition code, distinguishing it from all other vessels.
